Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.

gov Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus three years of professional nursing experience.
SUBSTITUTIONS: A baccalaureate degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
A master's degree in nursing or public health will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Specialized degrees less than a doctorate will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
A doctorate in nursing or public health will substitute for two years of the required experience.
Specialized degrees will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience.
NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Job Concepts FUNCTION OF WORK: To coordinate facility wide programs which will include, but not limited to: Infection Control, Discharge Planning, Quality Assurance, DRG Coordinator, Utilization Review, and Support Service Review.
LEVEL OF WORK: Advanced.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General from a Registered Nurse Supervisor B, but may receive supervision from other higher level personnel.

LOCATION OF WORK: Statewide.
JOB DISTINCTIONS: Differs from Registered Nurse 4 by the presence of agency wide programmatic responsibility.
