Provide human resource specialized support in one of the following areas: employment/EEO, training, compensation, benefits, employee relations, or Human Resources Information Systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Interview applicants.
Maintain applicant tracking system.
Conduct reference checks and administer applicant testing.
Coordinate the preparation of offer letters.
Coordinate relocations, as necessary.
Schedule and conduct new employee orientation.
Assist in the preparation of affirmative action/EEO reporting.
Participate in preparing training curriculum.
Maintain training and development database and produce reports.
Coordinate the production of training material.
Develop and maintain database files for company wage and salary forecasting.
Participate in salary surveys and research wage and salary data.
Process and coordinate with payroll, salary actions approved.
Develop and maintain database of employees benefit elections and related benefit plan documentation.
Answer employee questions on a variety of HR related issues.
Counsel employees on a variety of HR issues.
Research appeals and may participate in issue resolutions.
Enter approved personnel actions into the HRIS system.
Review documentation for completeness and necessary approval.
Coordinate resolution of incomplete information.
Prepare standard reports to respond to customer queries.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources and at least 1 year of job-related experience or equivalent.
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position may require travel.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
