We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and make a positive impact on the health of our community.
As an LPN in our rural health clinic, you will play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate and personalized care to our patients.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct nursing care, assist with clinical procedures, and support the overall operations of the clinic.
Your dedication and expertise will contribute to improving the health outcomes of our rural population and addressing the unique healthcare challenges they face.
*Responsibilities:* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and assisting with procedures.
Conduct initial patient assessments, document medical histories, and record vital signs accurately.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Educate patients and their families about disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Assist with the coordination of patient referrals and follow-up appointments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinic protocols and policies.
Conduct monthly quality control assessments to verify adherence with regulations and standards.
Assist with inventory management, ensuring availability of necessary medical supplies, medications and equipment.
Promote a positive and welcoming environment for patients, fostering trust and rapport.
Contribute to the maintenance of infection control standards and a clean clinic environment.
Stay informed about current regulations, trends and developments in nursing practice through continuous learning and professional development.
*Qualifications:* Valid LPN license in Louisiana Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a rural or primary care environment.
Knowledge of rural healthcare challenges and the ability to adapt to limited resources.
Proficient in conducting patient assessments, administering medications, and performing nursing procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of a rural healthcare setting.
