LPN - PRN

The Licensed Practical Nurse delivers nursing care under his/her scope of practice to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse and is accountable for providing that care as ordered by the physician.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Having graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing.
2.
Maintain a current practical nurse license in the state of practice.
3.
Maintain a current CPR.
4.
Satisfactorily completes the hospital orientation program.
5.
Satisfactory completion of annual evaluation and competencies.
6.
Periodic pushing, pulling, and lifting patients.
7.
Skills in dexterity for moving and positioning patients.
8.
Ability to assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Assists in assessment of physical and psycho-social needs of patients.
2.
Assist the RN in creating, implementing, and reevaluating patient care plans.
3.
Assist in providing nursing care according to established policy and procedure.
4.
Safely administers medications following hospital policy and procedure within scope of practice.
5.
Perform and document a detailed physical assessment on each patient.
6.
Complies with HIPAA policy and procedure.
7.
Maintains Non-Violent, Crisis Prevention certification through CPI or MOAB.
