The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)is responsible for the care of the residents in a designated area of the facility.
The CNA is knowledgeable of the information as outlined on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care and follows the plan.
The CNA provides information to keep the plan of care current and communicates with the Licensed Staff and other departments regarding the resident's needs.
The CNA provides care for each resident in the assigned group while maintaining the residents mental, physical and psychosocial needs.
The CNA provides care to assist with keeping the resident well-groomed and clean.
The CNA also assists to keep the resident care areas clean, in good working order, and promotes a home like atmosphere for the resident.
The CNA reports all relevant observations to the Licensed Staff assigned to the unit in a timely manner and documents information timely as indicated.
The CNA attends in-services and staff meetings as required.
The Nursing Assistant is responsible to the Licensed Staff assigned to the specific unit.
Must be able to read, write, and follow oral instructions.
High school education or equivalent is preferred.
