Consideration will be given to candidates at the assistant or associate professor level.
Position 1: Candidate must be able to teach General Microbiology as well as courses from at least 2 disciplines from the discipline list below.
Position 2: Candidate must be able to teach Ecology as well as courses from at least 2 disciplines from the discipline list below and be comfortable teaching in the field.
Discipline list: Applications of GPS and GIS, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Cellular-Molecular Biology, Conservation Biology, Field Biology Techniques, Genetics, Immunology, Limnology, Vertebrate Biology, or Virology.
The university is especially interested in teaching-focused faculty who are excellent in the classroom and online.
LSUA is partnering with LSU to offer the BS in Biology online and will rely on the new hires to play a vital role in that partnership.
The ideal candidates will be able to offer quality instruction in a wide range of undergraduate biology courses.
Candidates for positions 1 and 2 must be willing to mentor undergraduate research.
