Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming and professional experience for our clients and visitors.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in phone systems, be a good listener/communicator with a wide variety of people and possess strong organizational abilities.
This is criminal defense law.
The duties are much the same as at civil law practice but this is not an ordinary job and it may not be for everyone.
We represent folks accused of everything from shoplifting to drug possession to drive-by-shootings.
All of them aren't innocent, although many are.
It is almost never boring but you may not be able to talk about much of your work day at home.
Just like in medicine, confidentially is absolutely paramount, but it is probably even more important here.
This is a flexible part-time to full-time position with competitive pay.
We offer paid time off.
Additionally, we offer flexible work schedules such as three-day-weekends or shortened hours so that parents be home at the end of the school day, if needed.
Duties: - Greet and welcome clients and potential clients in a friendly and professional manner - Answer incoming calls, provide basic information and direct callers to the appropriate person - Manage the company's main phone lines and ensure all calls are handled promptly - Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation - Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, faxes and keep a log of those communications - Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed - Perform basic bookkeeping tasks document and collect fees.
- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness - Provide personal assistant support to lawyers as needed Skills: - A minimum of a 3.
5 high School GPA is important, if not absolutely mandatory -While some personal criminal history is certainly not a plus, it is also not an automatic disqualification - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems - Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus - Strong attention to detail for proofreading documents - Ability to provide exceptional customer support in person, over the phone, or via email etc.
- Knowledge of general clerical procedures and office equipment operation - Experience working in a legal or medical office setting is a plus - Professional phone etiquette with excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong computer skills -If you are a motivated individual with excellent people skills, organizational skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
