Job Posting Title: Assistant Professor - Full-Time Nursing Faculty Position Type: Faculty Department: LSUA ASA - HHS - Nursing (Sarita V James (00001233)) Work Location: LSU - Alexandria Pay Grade: Academic Job Description: JOB DESCRIPTION – FULL-TIME NURSING FACULTY DEPARTMENT: NURSING POSITION TITLE: FULL-TIME TENURE TRACK NURSING FACULTY SUPERVISOR: DIRECTOR, SCHOOL OF NURSING PURPOSE: Full time nursing faculty assume responsibility for the delivery of classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction as well as advising, scholarship and service requirements within ASN/BSN programs.
This is a 9-month academic year position with a tenure-track appointment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching in ASN or RN-BSN programs Incorporate student learning teaching/learning strategies in classroom and lab/clinical instruction.
Participate in Department of Nursing and University Committees.
Ensure student compliance with health requirements.
Participate in student counseling and advising.
Schedule office hours in compliance with University Policy.
Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical courses.
Develop course schedules and syllabi in compliance with department and University policies.
