*We are looking for a caring, and compassionate LPN to join our team in providing quality care to our residents.

*GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: * The evening shift Nurse is responsible for coordinating medical services for all group home clients and for providing for all nursing needs of group home clients.
*PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Employee must be able to perform the assigned duties without significant risk of substantial harm to his/her safety/security and the safety/security of others.
I.
*Medical, Nursing, Client Care and Treatment.
*1.
Assesses group home clients at least monthly and summarizes findings quarterly utilizing Therap documentation.
.
Ensure the completion of medical examinations as require by Title XIX and other rules and regulations.
.
Observes medication administration to all group home staff and trains, redirects, and monitors medication administration as necessary.
.
Enforces state, federal, and Title XIX regulations in all areas of nursing and residential living.
*II Leadership:*
1.
Works collaboratively and cooperatively with all other departments on St.
Mary’s campus.
2.
Establishes and promotes good community relations for St.
Mary’s by understanding that a nurse is expected to promote the leadership of the organization to the staff, within the community, and when attending organizational activities.
*PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:*
· *Language: * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to professional staff, paraprofessional staff and direct care staff.
Ability to present information to groups using original or innovative techniques or style.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
· *Education and/or Experience: *Must be a board certified Licensed Practical Nurse, with at least 5 years of experience in providing nursing services to the developmentally disable population.
· *Reasoning Ability: *This position requires latitude for independent judgment and thinking based on education, training and experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritizes work, and meets deadlines.
· *Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: *Valid driver’s license; Must be a board certified Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license
· *Other Skills or Abilities: * Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Therap and other computer programs.
Good telephone skills.
