- Transcribe medical reports, including patient histories, physical examinations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers with medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and accurate medical documentation.
- Organize and manage medical charts, including filing, scanning, and retrieving documents.
- Prepare and distribute medical reports to healthcare providers and other relevant parties.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required.
- Excellent typing skills with the ability to accurately transcribe medical information in a timely manner.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate medical records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare providers and team members.
