*Job Title: Leader Training Program (LTP) Battalion Coach (Other than Infantry and/or Armor)* *Job Summary:* The LTP Battalion Coach (Other than Infantry and/or Armor) is a critical role within the Leader Training Program, responsible for providing specialized coaching and support to Battalion Commanders outside of the Infantry and Armor branches.
Leveraging extensive military experience at the tactical battalion command level, these coaches offer expertise in leadership, operational planning, and tactical execution to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of program participants.
Additionally, experience as an Army Service School instructor/small group leader or Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer Controller Trainer (OCT) is desired to further enrich coaching capabilities.
*Key Responsibilities:* * *Leadership Coaching:* Provide expert coaching and mentorship to Battalion Commanders in areas such as mission command, troop leading procedures, and tactical decision-making.
* *Operational Planning:* Assist Battalion Commanders in developing comprehensive operational plans, including mission analysis, course of action development, and synchronization of efforts.
* *Tactical Execution:* Offer guidance on tactical execution, including maneuver, fires, sustainment, and command and control, to ensure effective mission accomplishment.
* *Training Support:* Support Battalion Commanders in the development and execution of training plans to enhance unit readiness and proficiency in tactical operations.
* *After Action Review (AAR) Participation:* Participate in AAR sessions following training exercises, providing feedback and insights to Battalion Commanders to facilitate continuous improvement.
* *Subject Matter Expertise:* Serve as a subject matter expert in tactical operations, leveraging personal experience and best practices to enhance coaching effectiveness.
* *Collaboration and Coordination:* Work collaboratively with program leadership, fellow coaches, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of coaching objectives with program goals and priorities.
* *Professional Development:* Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in military tactics and doctrine, continuously enhancing coaching effectiveness and relevance.
*Qualifications:* * Military experience at the tactical battalion command level consistent with the LTP unit of assignment required.
* Desired qualifications include experience as an Army Service School instructor/small group leader or Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer Controller Trainer (OCT).
